This is a companion video to the one that shows the power of the transformer converter.

This shows, the lack of power for the rotary converter. We block off, or disconnect, the unloader valve from the 5 hp Champion compressor.

This means that the converter is starting up against the pressure in the tank. A real torture test!

What the two videos show is the difference between the rotary and the transformer method.

The rotary drops out at around 150 lbs and can not start the compressor. Plus, before the 150 lbs, you can see it is sluggish to start this load.

When you watch the other video of the transformer converter doing the same thing you see a marked difference.

The transformer converter starts it right up to the maximum I dare take it, 185 lbs.
